What are the differences between PU leather and PVC leather fabrics?

Usually, synthetic leather other than genuine leather such as PVC leather and PU leather are collectively referred to as synthetic leather or anti leather. Both PVC leather and PU leather are made of polyvinyl chloride (a type of plastic), but the production, manufacturing, and processing techniques for these two types of leather are different.
In the production process of PVC leather, it is necessary to first heat melt and stir the recycled plastic into a thick state, evenly distribute it on the T/C knitted fabric substrate according to the specified thickness, and then enter the polyurethane foaming furnace to carry out polyurethane foaming, so that it can be integrated into the production and processing of various types of leather with different softness requirements. At the same time, surface treatment (dyeing, embossing, polishing, matting, surface fuzzing, etc., mainly carried out according to the actual leather specifications) should be carried out at the same time as it is discharged from the furnace.
PU leather is slightly more complex in production and processing technology than PVC leather. Considering that the bottom fabric of PU leather is a canvas PU leather material with good compressive strength, it can not only be applied to the top of the bottom fabric, but also included in the middle, making it difficult to see the bottom fabric from outside. The physical properties of PU leather are better than PVC leather, with resistance to bending, good softness, high compressive strength, and breathability (PVC leather does not have it).
The pattern of PVC leather is formed by rolling and pressing the pattern of steel; The pattern of PU leather is first hot pressed onto the surface of semi-finished processed leather using a type of patterned paper. After cooling with water, the paper leather is separated and subjected to surface treatment. The price of PU leather is several times higher than that of PVC leather, and the price of certain rigid PU leather is 2-3 times higher than that of PVC leather.
Usually, the patterned paper required for PU leather can only be used 4-5 times to report the cost; The service life of the pattern roller is long, so the cost of PU leather is higher than that of PVC leather.
